Little mermaid

I saw my friend's post on facebook, mentioned the Disney Little Mermaid's soundtrack " Part of your World". Coincidentally, the movie im watching right now, Secret Garden also has a quote about the mermaid story. The quote is "Gil Ra Im will always stuck between the two worlds. After you stay like invisible person, then just disappear from me like a bubble”.

 I cant help but imagine myself as the little mermaid. "When the prince's father orders his son to marry the neighboring king's daughter, the prince tells the Little Mermaid he will not, because he does not love the princess." However, the mermaid doesnt belong in that world, that beautiful, warm world that he lives in. She is different, therefore she is left out. "He goes on to say he can only love the young woman from the temple, who he believes rescued him. It turns out that the princess is the temple girl, who had been sent to the temple to be educated. The prince loves her and the wedding is announced". Yes, that princess, her rival, belongs to his world. It is natural that they will get together, sooner or later. The mermaid, she cant fit in with his world, she tries her best, but deep inside, she never feel at ease. "How can i make them love me? If i dont please them, will the hate me and leave me? If they do, how do i protect myself from being hurt again?" Those questions torturing her. She's hurt, she's alone and she doesnt know what to do, how to blend in with his world. "She despairs, thinking of the death that awaits her, but before dawn, her sisters bring her a knife that the Sea Witch has given them in exchange for their long hair. If the Little Mermaid slays the prince with the knife and lets his blood drip on her feet, she will become a mermaid again, all her suffering will end and she will live out her full life".But can she do that?

  "The Little Mermaid cannot bring herself to kill the sleeping prince lying with his bride and, as dawn breaks, throws herself into the sea. Her body dissolves into foam, but instead of ceasing to exist, she feels the warmth of the sun; she has turned into a spirit, a daughter of the air" In the end, love is blind. She choose to sacrifice herself, so that her lover can live his happy-ever-after life. In the end, I chose to leave them.

   Maybe one day ill become invisible, then disappear from this world like a bubble, shining beautifully then break into pieces, then gone forever...
